Skipsfjorden

Skipsfjorden is a large area with unspoilt scenery about 8 km from Honningsvåg towards North Cape. Here you have access to exiting mountain formations, fishing lakes and last but not least the fjord with an abundance of fish. Skipsfjorden is often used as a recreational area by the local inhabitants.

Each spring time reindeer families travel from Karasjok to Magerøya where the reindeer can come for summer grazing. You can visit them in their own Siida just beside the E69 here in Skipsfjorden.

In addition to these wonderful experiences there is plenty of opportunity for a bite to eat or overnight accommodation in hotel and campingsite.
